Meet The Team: Kirsty
In this week’s Meet the Team blog, we’re introducing you to one of our newest team members here at Mathisen & Macara, Kirsty Richardson.
Part of our Administrative team, Kirsty joined the firm on a temporary project basis, but once the project was complete, had made herself so indispensable that she was recruited on a permanent basis. Here’s all you need to know about Kirsty.
Biography
Kirsty joined Mathisen & Macara in October 2021, for a six-month project that involved the extraction and digitisation of historic files. After this project finished, Kirsty secured the permanent position of Administrative Assistant, working with our Trade Mark team.
Kirsty’s main tasks involve notifying the UKIPO of administrative changes on behalf of clients, and keeping our database up to date, as well as other IP related admin duties.
With ambition and drive always being at the heart of Kirsty’s work ethic, her proudest achievement in her career to date was working three jobs, from her early teens, with the end result of being able to purchase her own home at the young age of 23 years old. If she could offer her younger self one piece of career advice – it would be to take more risks, especially before having the financial ties of a mortgage and a family.
Outside of work
When she’s not working, Kirsty spends time looking after her family and enjoying the freedoms of post-pandemic life! She’s an avid runner, gardener, and baker (the spoils of which the wider Mathisen & Macara team regularly enjoy).
If she wasn’t working in Administration, Kirsty would like to exercise her creativity through setting up shop making natural eco-friendly soy wax and essential oil candles. A product which she herself is a connoisseur of!
